This is my webpage all about tornadoes. Tornadoes can be huge or small. They can even almost be a mile long! Thats longer than our house! Sometimes, tornadoes can be small and still, do a lot of damage. But if they are bigger , they can do more damage. Tornadoes are awful. Destroying homes, crushing it and maybe destroy you yourself, who knows what a even a small tornado could do.

On June 8, 1995, we were driving back from Amarillo when we saw an ominous cloud hanging over Pampa. We were listening to the local radio station for weather information on the cloud. The radio said that the dark green cloud was a wall cloud and could drop a tornado any minute. |
| We went on home and tried to get to safety, but the radio said to take shelter immediately. Right after the weatherman said to take shelter, the Pampa emergency sirens went off. |
| We got all of our blankets, pillows, and portable battery-operated radios and sat down in the hall. We covered our heads with the pillows and waited for the storm to pass. |
| While waiting we heard several reports that there were many tornadoes circling around and moving across town, destroying businesses, houses, and other things in its path. We thanked God that no one was killed during this F-4 tornado. |
